The application of optical modules in power systems is mainly manifested in power communication. Power communication is an important part of the power system. It is responsible for transmitting various information of the power system (such as operating status, control signals, fault information, etc.) to the control center or dispatching center. Traditional optical modules have become key equipment in smart power systems due to their stability and low latency. At the same time, optical modules can also be used to achieve real-time monitoring and remote control of all aspects of the power system, realize automated management, and reduce later maintenance costs. Early power systems required manual door-to-door recording of meter data from each household, which was not only time-consuming and labor-intensive, but also posed a safety hazard to residents' lives. Today, some regions have achieved the transmission of these data through optical modules, which not only improves efficiency, enhances data accuracy, saves costs, but also ensures the safety of residents.
